Niagara Falls, New York

Yesterday, we drove.
We left at about 4:45 when the sun was just rising over Albion, Maine and gassed up at the nearby gas station.  Surprisingly enough, we never had to turn back for anything we forgot.  That's because we didn't realized we'd forgotten anything until we were too far away to make turning back possible.  We left the hatchet, large tarps, ropes, coffee mugs (YES, COFFEE MUGS!!), and some car repair tools.
We made a quick stop to grab breakfast food in New Hampshire, then hit the Hannaford in Upstate New York for food supplies for the next two days.  The layout was almost exactly like the Waterville store.  I walked in immediately took a look around for Brionna.
We pulled in to the KOA near Niagara Falls at about 5:30.  The kids were in the pool twenty minutes later.  I have to admit that unpacking the Mother of All Skyboxes was a heck of a lot easier than packing it (which I did three times before I got it right).  The tent went together well.
Thanks to Tracey for the idea about the Red Box rentals.  Helped make the ride easier for Gabby, and thereby all of us.  Megan slept much of the way, and Caleigh and Sagan got along very nicely.
The park is a bit crowded.  There are some simply magnificent RVs here.  We opted to go to Niagara Falls last night instead of this morning.  The camp manager told us the falls were lit until midnight.  Oh my!  The crowd was just like Disneyland.  The crush of humanity piled up against the viewing area railings was ridiculous.  The falls themselves are magnificent, what you can see of them, but the way the American side has chosen to display them is grotesque.  I would certainly choose to try a boat, or drive over to the Toronto side in the future.
Today, we leave for the first of our two stops on the road to South Dakota.  Should make it to about mid-Indiana.
